Bangkok and Pattaya visit

This was a special occasion. We were celebrating Sandeep's 30th birthday in Thailand.
We took red eye from Bangalore to Bangkok on wednesday night landed  on 30th june, thursday morning at 6:00 AM. Now the task was to get our visa.We went to the visa on arrival counter to see a big line of only Indians in the queue. No line discipline, people who were behind us were all of a sudden quite ahead of us.We had to bear this frustration to get the visa. They charge about 1000Baht.The process is very simple.

Day 1:
We got our visas and met our travel representative and headed to Pattaya in a shared van.I was very much impressed with the way the tourism was co-ordinated.In about 1 and 1/2 hr we reached Pattaya  and checked in to our hotel(Golden Beach Pattaya) around 10AM.The location of the hotel was very good.Right across, there was Central Festival Mall.We did find communtication a bit of problem as most of them were not able to speak English. So we had to talk in phrases.

We headed out and looked out for tuk tuk. They are auto kinda vans.We wanted to visit Sanctuary of Truth which was about 15 min from our hotel. But no one was able to understand where we wanted to go.I had made note of all the address in a sheet of paper so tried asking them by showing the address.Luckily we found a person who could know where we wanted to go and helped to get us a tuk tuk.We paid driver 50 Baht and got off at Sanctuary of Truth.

The entrance fee is about 500 baht. From the entrance we got a ride in horse driven carriage.Sanctuary of truth is such a huge wooden structure just by a sea shore. It is still being constructed and will take few more years to complete. We got a guided tour. The architecture was mix of Indonesian,Indian and European. We hadn't seen anything like. The wooden carvings were pretty amazing. We headed back to to the hotel in a tuk-tuk and relaxed.
Evening we headed to a very lovely Thai Restaurant-Ruen Thai. There was not a single vegetarian item on menu card. But the staff at the restaurant were so humble. We could ask them to make Fried rice and yummy spicy yellow curry. There were few cultural shows too.

Day 2:

 Coral Island Tour:
After heavy breakfast in hotel we started to go on coral island tour.It was raining. But it seemed it dint effect any tourism in Pattaya. The tour guides kew little bit of hindi. We couldn't spot any no indian takign this tour.We had to take speed boat to reach island with few stops inbetween for parasailing and other activities. We werent interested with these activities since we had done these in tahoe lake. After reaching island had a nice time in beach ,later enjoyed a nice Indian Lunch.
In the evening we checked out the Central Festival Mall and local places. After a long time enjoyed pretzels,doughnuts...

Day 3:
We had to say good bye to Pattaya and head to Bangkok.Bangkok was
